Any ideas for getting the steam thing to work?

I uploaded my exe file to steam.
My son is a friend on steam

I send an invite to my son and we are unable to play.
I can host (screen shows Player1 and 3 waiting for players

My son is unable to join (he doesnt even get the buttons to join after i send him the invite)

Does my son need the build files?
Does my son need the .exe file?
Can someone point me in the right direction?

Zip everything in your build folder and send it over to your son’s computer. Then add the exe file as a game in Steam (explained on the video).
Then follow these steps:

  • Open the game on your computer and start hosting
  • Your son opens the game on his computer
  • Your son right-clicks on your name in the steam friend list and selects “join game”.
