Added Features from Tilevania:

  • All art assets were created from scratch.
  • Jump from the ladders.
  • Walk on top of ladders.
  • When on top of ladders you can climb down.
  • When at the bottom of the ladders, if you keep pressing down the character will stop climbing.
  • Two different enemies.
  • Health system for the player and enemies.
  • Bow and arrow, hold the button, then release to shoot.
  • A “key” system. Collect gems to open the gates.
  • Tutorials in form of signs.
  • Music and SFXs.
  • Several special effects.
  • Custom camera system, not using Cinemachine.
  • Any more… maybe…

Hey! I just finished your demo. Nice game. Well put together, with interesting level layouts, gorgeous graphics, a seamless game loop and helpful* dialogue.

I like how the camera sits at the height level of the platform you were last standing on, but I found that you go offscreen if you jump at full height on the first level.

  • “Sometimes violence is the answer” - I interpreted that as having to kill all the floaters. XD

I definitely need to change that clue, it has confused people many times before.

I was trying to mimic the Super Mario World camera, I found out that it doesn’t work well with games with a lot of vertical movement, lessons learned.

It’s been a couple of years since I release this game, I might revisit it soon because it’s one of my favorite games I’ve created.
