About those ActorHit Brackets

In the video, at about 11:00, Ben adds brackets before ActorHit.
I tried compiling without these brackets, just having:
*ActorHit->GetName

It gave me the same good result.

What’ then, do these brackets do, or why are they important?

Thanks!

  1. I think it improves readability, helping in understanding that you’re dereferencing the whole GetName() method.

2 Not sure which version you’re using, but when I tried it without the (brackets) in 4.19. It actually crashed Unreal…
