Method

The thing that took the longest was actually figuring out how to add random rotations to the “hairs” because once my flowers came in it looked wrong having every instance facing the same way…
It’s not obvious:


Choose “hairs” and click “advanced”, then “rotation” and set the Phase and Randomize Phase to 1 and 2 respectively (That seemed to give the best results.)
This scene took much longer than the results justify but I think I learned a lot.

I made this using the particle system.

Hi @AkinKumar Nice work - I like the feel of it and the interesting use of light. My only suggestion is to add a very small amount of light to get a bit of detail on the front of the podium.

My computer is going to spend the next 100+ hours rendering a half-sized 200 frame animation. Totally worth it :3. Lol or not. Crashed after 3 frames.

Try baking the cache(s) before rendering. This should reduce the load on your processor.

There is a lot I’m seeing that I can improve. In my time limit I gave my self 3 days and spent about 2 hours each day. I got this so I think its time I moved on to your next course. This course was awesome :slight_smile:

I liked playing around with this. However, I have no tree, as I never got around finishing one. So it’s just my plant in a rather “radioactive” version with some particle grass. Here’s a few steps along the way.
