Worked on this spiderbot last year. It was in a late blocking stage. Dropped it due to IRL events and never came back to finish it. Its kinda fits this, I think, but don’t count it as an entry. I still don’t know if I want to go back and finish it.

Maybe less weapons and more nature?

I was going to make a robot deer or rabbit, and I still might for my own practice, but I had a dream last night that the references I pulled for those ideas were from Dexters laboratory for some reason even though they were not. This robot parrot sure was in the show though, and I thought it’d be fun to make. Took way longer and was way harder than I thought it’d be. I’ll tell myself I’m happy with this render and move on for now. Excited to see everyone’s entries!

So well done! Looks fantastic. I was thinking of doing a robot deer, but don’t know if I’ll have time this week (I need another sick day  ).

Kind of the obvious option, but hey… Dragonflies are cool

Transparent wings … needs some tweaking…. Oh, and a head, legs, etc.

Let’s see…

Smart approach on the tentacles. Array along a curve?

Final picture - this time I wanted to do even more, but I didn’t have enough time!

Excellent. If the dark vignette isn’t intentional, cool. Otherwise, increase the feather and ratio and reduce the factor. Feels more realistic, if it’s there, but barely visible.

Thank you for the hint. I first did the vignett in gimp, because I didn’t think about the compositor.
