This is the Blender Collaboration 2026, week 10 challenge. Don’t be afraid to join, a lot of us are beginners. This is all to practice, have fun, learn, and get together.
This week’s subject is “Robotic Fauna”.
“Robotic Fauna” - I.e, model any animal-inspired robot.
The rules are simple. 1 subject, 1 entry, 1 week.
You create whatever object or scene or whatever you can think of that has something to do with the subject. It can be as simple or complicated as you want, all entries are welcome!
Post your picture here in this thread. At the end of the week, we start to vote. And if you are the winner, you may choose the next subject and win a unique badge.
Worked on this spiderbot last year. It was in a late blocking stage. Dropped it due to IRL events and never came back to finish it. Its kinda fits this, I think, but don’t count it as an entry. I still don’t know if I want to go back and finish it.
I was going to make a robot deer or rabbit, and I still might for my own practice, but I had a dream last night that the references I pulled for those ideas were from Dexters laboratory for some reason even though they were not. This robot parrot sure was in the show though, and I thought it’d be fun to make. Took way longer and was way harder than I thought it’d be. I’ll tell myself I’m happy with this render and move on for now. Excited to see everyone’s entries!
Excellent. If the dark vignette isn’t intentional, cool. Otherwise, increase the feather and ratio and reduce the factor. Feels more realistic, if it’s there, but barely visible.
