This is the Blender Collaboration 2025, week 27 challenge. Don’t be afraid to join, a lot of us are beginners. This is all to practice, have fun, learn, and get together.
This week’s subject is “Super Hero”.
The rules are simple. 1 subject, 1 entry, 1 week.
You create whatever object or scene or whatever you can think of that has something to do with the subject. It can be as simple or complicated as you want, all entries are welcome!
Post your picture here in this thread. At the end of the week, we start to vote. And if you are the winner, you may choose the next subject and win a unique badge.
Deadline: 2025-07-05T21:55:00Z

Old project (2016), not participating
It started back then as a project to be 3D printed.
When printed, the head and body are connected with a rolled up piece of paper. Acting as it neck, with a written note. Hence the name postman.
Hmmm, maybe I restart this project …

I started using Blender in 2018 and the first model I made was a Superhero named “Wildfire”… it wasn’t very good, after that I worked on Blender off and on for a few years until I became more serious about it 2 years ago. So I decided to redo Wildfire and here is the side by side comparison, enjoy!

I got a message about my anniversary. 9 Years on this forum … hmmmm
I must say, I don’t do that much Blender anymore, due to change in work and less free time.
I’m amazed by, how Blender has evolved in those years. And the reason to start a course at GameDev, because of the difficult Blender UI back then (pre v2.8 era). I started with teacher Michael, with his funny (experimental) way of explaining things. And his “Hop on over” phrase.
Have fun!

We @BlenderCollab have a few days to vote. You can vote fast but also think slowly about design, colors, technique, difficulty, subject, realism, etc. Choose consciously and not on your entry.
The new subject week 28 “Movie poster” has already started. The winner of this week’s “Super Hero” challenge may select a subject for next week 29 and win a badge.

@Joey_Cuevas congratulations on your stylish take on the superhero Hellboy. Very relatable.
- SweetOblivion - Such an improvement! - Perhaps a bit more color depth (ambient occlusion?). You could also make the hair look more like flames, since the colors and waves already have something to do with it.
- gallmerci - Nice ‘Science/monitoring’ cave. The scale is a bit out of order (chair vs. door). I do miss some reference to a Super Hero …
Note: I don’t want to offend anyone. I try to write down positive ideas and visions in my simple use of the English language. I am also sometimes more inspired by a particular subject or solution. I’m also learning from you!
