2025 Collab: Week 15 “RetroReimagined” - VOTE CLOSED

This is the Blender Collaboration 2025, week 15 challenge. Don’t be afraid to join, a lot of us are beginners. This is all to practice, have fun, learn, and get together.

This week’s subject is “RetroReimagined”.

  • “RetroReimagined” - refers to the concept of taking retro styles, designs, or products from the past and updating them with modern elements, technology, or aesthetics. It blends nostalgia with innovation to create something familiar yet fresh.
  • Subject selected by the previous Week 13, 2025 “ Daylight saving time " winner Srl1

The rules are simple. 1 subject, 1 entry, 1 week.
You create whatever object or scene or whatever you can think of that has something to do with the subject. It can be as simple or complicated as you want, all entries are welcome!
Post your picture here in this thread. At the end of the week, we start to vote. And if you are the winner, you may choose the next subject and win a unique badge.

Deadline: 2025-04-12T21:55:00Z

WIP. This jetpack combines a retro table fan with a pressurized air container. Right now, it’s docked at its charging station.

Nice work you all  ! I would have expected that cassette tape in a big tangle (that was a likely state with the player I had attached to my first computer ).

My computer decided to install Win 11 yesterday without more warnings and Blender keeps crashing now (more than before) so even I was planning to come back to the weekly Collabs, I will have to wait until next week.

Welcome back! The more people, the better. These kinds of collaborations are a great way to challenge yourself without needing to make a plan on your own. As for Windows 11, I’ve had it pretty much since day one and never ran into any issues, but of course, no two machines are the same. I’d consider either reinstalling Blender or at least verifying the files (if you use it through Steam).

We @BlenderCollab have a few days to vote. You can vote fast but also think slowly about design, colors, technique, difficulty, subject, realism, etc. Choose consciously and not on your entry.
The new subject week 16 “Gothic majesty” has already started. The winner of this week’s “xxx” challenge may select a subject for next week 17 and win a badge.

Thank you, apparently the install process took most of my already limited disk space. This is the most likely explanation for those crashes. It’s time to clean! :grinning:

@Joey_Cuevas congratulations on your entry. A not so old technology in a modern version. A good example of retro design.

  • Srl1 - Your device could be something like that in a game like BioShock or Fallout. Leaving its use to the imagination of the user. Because it is not immediately clear what you can do with it. Form follows function.

Note: I don’t want to offend anyone. I try to write down positive ideas and visions in my simple use of the English language. I am also sometimes more inspired by a particular subject or solution. I’m also learning from you!
