I my mind is was easy to realize. But I forgot to follow the correct steps involved. I’m not happy with the outcome.
Not sure I will redo the process with the required steps. I see this one as a proof of concept.

This week I am taking time to do a detailed work… all I can say is… nothing yet ! :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

More parts, and now going for the upper part and finishes. I start to wonder whether I will finish on time, but anyone who ever had one (and had to carry it from one place to another) will hopefully guess what it is

Finally, tadaaaaa! All parts done. Adjusted to proper scale, and I found exactly the same problems to position everything as I had with the actual thing, so it must be good enough. :woman_facepalming: Now, for the finishes!

And this is the one:

Can’t image what this could be…

A hint: I had to install LOTS of those, and I am using LOTS of them in the model . The gift was not even for me, but I enjoyed everything about it a lot :star_struck:.

We @BlenderCollab have a few days to vote. You can vote fast but also think slowly about design, colors, technique, difficulty, subject, realism, etc. Choose consciously and not on your entry.
The new subject week 01-2025 “Urban environment” has already started. The winner of this week’s “My favorite present” challenge may select a subject for next week 02-2025 and win a badge.

This was for mine too, but you cannot imagine what it took to help Santa with this all the way “down the chimney” It was so much fun, that it made it the best present ever! And then I could also play it for a few years, so it was a great deal. Remember to pick a carpet and a good set of earmuffs

Congratulations @Megane_Wang on the final winning Collab entry of the year. It was hard to beat! It’s a beautiful and clear presentation of a drum kit.

  • jimmie - A very nice gift set. The composition is good, but I think the scale of objects is a bit off (the ring). Tiny details do matter.
  • FedPete - The concept was good. A second attempt should improved the paper bag folding and cracks. The bottom of the bag is too sharp. I must admit I did this from my memory, which is always a bad thing to do. I didn’t spend more time on this project, because I was busy with programming Christmas lights … an other project which took more time than expected.

Note: I don’t want to offend anyone. I try to write down positive ideas and visions in my simple use of the English language. I am also sometimes more inspired by a particular subject or solution. I’m also learning from you!
