Yes, much better with fewer marks, and the internal workings are looking quite well done too.

Almost done with this one a few details to finish off.

You already make 6 different items! Are you modeling a pawn shop?

PS: Nice!

This is looking great! :grinning:
I know it’s a tiny detail but I like little things like how the ring has that break in it, same in real life so it could come off. The watch is coming close to photoreal, although I feel the books aren’t quite as high quality yet. I wish I could say exactly why, perhaps more variation in the bump texture, dented corners, yellow and fading for the pages?
Also this is purely subjective, but since you’re going for an aged look, one idea is to go full black and white for the image, maybe with some lens grime. Something like this (just a couple quick edits in Krita):

However you do it, it’s a great piece!

I think you can reduce the specular and the index of refraction (IOR)

You should try and add edge wear. Will make it look as it was used. In and out of pocket would polish some parts more than others.

I’m a bit late to the party, and pretty beginner to boot, so I kept it simple. I ended up deciding to do an antique toy:

(this is my final entry)

Very nice tin plate old style toy.

Very nice indeed.
One thing you might add is the bar that the chains have to go through a buttonhole. Very much a part of such a Fob watch.

Great books too. Leather might be a bit too brand new? Great pages unevenness.

My entry. I’m gonna work on it quite a bit yet. Need to better texture on the clock and obviously its face. But quite happy the way it turned out for now

I won’t have time to participate, probably for a few more weeks, but I did make time to also have a go at post processing @igorfv 's time piece. lol

It’s still too shiny for an old, worn, and much used item?
