I was having an issue trying to decide which surface to manipulate. I chose the waxed flooring slats.

Nice! It immediately looks less perfect and thus realistic.
You don’t show your Nodes but I think I can show you a little trick…
By the looks you are perhaps doing something like…
… resulting in random imperfections on the floor wood.
But if you instead feed the Bump node the filtered wood texture as height…
… you get the structure of wood in the surface.
Maybe something to try on the bench/counter wood?
