I thought you have great machine now?
Leads look good though.
I would move that vert under the ear up a little as is pulling on the skin.
Very nice, bright and colourful.
Thank you, the goal was to animate it a bit. I have connected a second machine in my PC network. It has Blender v3.0. So learning starts again. I miss Cycles tiles. Now they are so big. But making them smaller, slows down thr render.
Fun in the animation is possible! Santa just gets the star in place then falls, knocks it all over.
Just wanted to say I absolutely LOVE this project so far. And that’s coming from a grinch LOL.
Love this guy, I’m working towards this level of design.
Step by step. Improving myself each … year
Another test run. Adding particles to get a sparkling Merry Christmas, which did not work as wanted.
Cycles 6:15 hours 1024 samples, no denoiser, because of the grains.
And maybe my wide angle lens is too wide.
Very tricky thing to try as the ball reflects all round so you need an entire scene all round for it to reflect. You might be able to avoid that if Santa’s hand was wrapped round or holding the bauble very obviously
thereby covering most of the wider ranging reflection areas.
Yes, I know.
My test was the tiny grid. sparkling on the ball.
Not sure how to do that.
I now use weight painted surface and a lot of particles.
But those particles, don’t reflect that much light (100% metal, shininess)
