Started this bow last night and it needs some retopologising.
I’d love to get some feedback on the texturing of this bow which is currently only procedural at the moment.
Also, the shape of the handle I made from what reference images I could find that showed this type of handle. Does it look realistic/logical/functional?
There will be some caps on the points of the bow to secure the bow string.
Looks like an Elven Bow to me, if you look some images of elven bows you’ll see that it looks a lot like one, though the images I find they are more intricate, they have a more stylized curves.
Maybe this one would be for a lvl 1 character
But what I think you could do with this one is adding some drawings, runes?
Is this bow for that Elf of the “Human character” thread?
Oh and man this wood looks awesome, procedural in Blender?
Yea I tried to make it look a little Elven. Starting small first and then I’ll add more detail. I’m thinking about sculpting it some more with some swirly carving design but nothing too over the top and the caps I think I’ll add some detail too but yea, just getting the basic shape sorted first haha
Yea the wood is procedural so I can chop it up with UV seams and bake the colour/roughness/normal maps without any seams being visible
