Why was UV so hard to get the color I wanted?

I feel it might be the size of the color palate might have something to do with it. If I was to use a larger image, it might have not have been so much a blend as a pinpoint for colors. I’m sure UV has its use in certain projects, but i might just stick with materials unless I need something that needs to be “wrapped” in a image.

Yes it is that tiny colour palate. It can work, but needs the image node setting to closest not linear.

The plain colour system is much better but the UV tiny palate thing is all about game engines’ needs. No other point to it. It is a clever device, so well worth knowing about evn if it has no use wider. That really should have been made more clear.
