This happens a fair bit… Game Camera and Game display fine, but in the Scene window, the scene is empty. Where are my background, blocks, etc.? At first I thought it may be the Z-axis, but is it? It’s annoying.
You’re in the canvas view. (UI, etc). To get back to something in your game, just double click on an item (like your ball, or something else) in the Hierarchy (left side) and it will zoom in for you. Alternatively you can just zoom in manually.
It takes a bit of getting used to, but once you get used to it, it’s quite useful being able to quickly access UI elements without having to go to another screen.
