Why do we need the 'Get Current level name' function?

In this Unreal Engine Blueprint Game Developer Online Course lesson on Playe Camera Manager (14_CC_UBP) I am just wondering why we need that piece of code where it could just work with ‘Open level (by name)’ ?

Hi and welcome to the community.

You’re right in that you could specify the name directly but adding the code to get the current level name (I am assuming here this is on death, if I recall) that you are reloading the current level. Using this function ensures the code will work on any level.

I hope this makes sense.

I hope you’re enjoying the course. Good luck
