Why are we comparing string length?

Hello,

Quick question: why are we going to the trouble to compare input length with hidden word length, when the only thing that matters is that the input and hidden word match? If they don’t match, you lose a life.

I’m wondering if this is in here as a teaching tool, rather than it being integral gameplay?

Thanks,
Terry

Because Mike doesn’t want to deduct a life if the guess isn’t valid i.e. not the correct length or not an isogram. He mentions this a few times. You’re free to always to deduct a life on an incorrect guess.
