What VR device(s) do you own?

@sampattuzzi note distribution.

Hi Alicia, I see AR as a temporary thing. I’m not sure for how many years, but one day cameras and screens will be so good that AR is swallowed into VR - as you won’t be able to tell if you’re looking through to the real world, or if it’s just being recorded by a camera and shown on a screen. That does require massive leaps in at least…

  • Camera & screen resolution
  • Latency reduction
  • Dynamic range

So, having said all that, yes I think there is a window. Check out the voting site at http://voting.gamedev.tv to create and support ideas.

Not to correct @ben or anything :wink: but you should be fine until SquashyToad. At that point you will need to adapt the instructions but it should be fairly similar to the GearVR setup.

I first built my own Google cardboard and now have picked up a Gear VR. An HTC Vive should be coming in at work before too long that I should be able to get my hands on, and I do have plans for the Playstation VR. (hey i got most of it -PS4 and move controllers - just leaves the camera and PSVR)
