I wanted to take a break from the course and wanted to create the project boost in my way with more particles, music, elements and many more things. I wanted to create a different and even my first very own game with what all I have learnt till now. I am a bit confused that should I go ahead and make my first game or first continue the course??

Do you feel like you gained enough knowledge and experience to (re)create the project boost game yourself? If so, feel free to do that. Creating your own game is the best way to learn. 
If you started with your project and notice that it is still too challenging, you could simply continue with the course. Do what you feel is best for your journey as a game developer.
