Is it asking us to add the offset factor to the paddle’s position? if so then should’nt we add (0.5, 1.25) to the paddle’s value making it (15, 1.30)?..

You need to be careful with decimal placing: 10.00 + 0.50 = 10.50 and 1.25 + 0.50 = 1.75.
Add trailing zeroes to the right until all numbers have the same amount of decimal places, it will help you by adding and subtracting decimals.
