What does that mean, "Convert between object types?"

In Question #4 in the Quiz, it says you can convert between object types? Does that mean you can start working on a cylinder & then after many alterations, change your mind & convert the cylinder to a cube? What does that mean, convert between object types?

Generally it means to convert from something like a curve to something else like a mesh or vice versa. Depending on the type of object selected, some conversions are not possible… e.g. you can convert from metaballs to a mesh, but you cannot convert from a mesh to metaballs.
