I like both images, especially your use of light within them. The gradients that are formed in the skies are lovely and the rim lighting around the rocket is awesome. I must admit, I’d really like to see the rocket rendered with smooth shading enabled so that it doesn’t have the really strong edges all over. It is, otherwise, a fairly simple image and the edges feel somewhat overwhelming to me. Still, it’s really well done.
