Welcome to the Unity Section 1 sub-forum

Hello everyone. My name is Greg. I am from the frozen tundra of northern Ontario. (Actually not that bad here today). Glad to be with you all. I have developed games in other development environments and have been working with Unity in a limited capacity. Although the documentation is quite helpful, I am hoping that I will pick up some incite from this course. Best wishes to all of you! Lets get started!

Hi, I am Luke Hintze from Phoenix Arizona. I work for a major tech company, and have been an EDM artist for over a decade now, and only recently turned to game design. My wife was kind enough to reach out to Ben and team during the recent RPG course kickstarter, so while I wait for that to launch Iā€™m going to be running through the back catalogue to teach myself some basics.

I have some serious projects to get going once I learn enough, and I plan to make RPGs that will turn the genre on its head!

Hello Everyone, my name is Paras Jain. I belong to India. I studied at Sikkim Manipal university and graduated in 2016 with a degree in computer application. I build games. I have recently developed brick breaker, flappy Bird and Android applications. I am quite good in C sharp programming.

Hello everybody!

My name is Pulkeet and Iā€™m from Bangalore, India and Iā€™m final year student in Computer Science at graduation level.
I was hardcore gamer until this December and my favorite game is DotA2. I was kind of ā€œEat Sleep, Dota Repeatā€, but then in this December I realized to better start some new life-goal and start with building some awesome game technology related project.

At programming level, Iā€™m kind of beginner and as I wanted to build game. So I had two options regarding gaming engines, either go for unreal or Unity3D.

And you know what Iā€™ve chosen .

Hi everyone!

My names Amit, a web developer and aspiring games designer. Iā€™m taking this course to help me to change my career, Iā€™d love to get into game development full time.

Amit.

Hi, my name is Winnie Lee. Currently working toward my degree in Information Systems, I took this course to learn how to make some awesome games because I love playing games and hope to turn some of my ideas into real games. While this will be a side hobby for me, I am also working to learn how to be a front-end web developer and want to pursue my career in that direction.

Nice to meet you all! Good luck and have a great day!

Hi, all! My name is David Montoya. Iā€™m a general hobbiest in programming, graphics, web design, and general IT with a lifelong desire to develop video games.

Hello everybody,

Iā€™m Vinicius Bruch Zuchi, 21 yo, born in Brazil, currently studying in Portugal, and Iā€™ve decided to work with games at 2012 in the end of my high school.

Iā€™m on my last year of bachelor in computer science and I canā€™t wait to start doing my projects that Iā€™ve been thinking about since Iā€™ve entered the university.

I have little experience with some game engines, including unity, and hopefully Iā€™ll be able to greatly expand my Unity knowledge with this courseā€¦ hope to see you around.

Hi everyone,

I am just starting this course.

Happy new year!

Hello all,

Iā€™m Dan and I am currently a Primary School Teacher. I really enjoy programming and I am hoping to break out of the classroom and become a developer.

Hi Everyone!

My name is Peter I am from Hungary, living in Szeged.

I am a game programmer but I have a little practice in 3d modelling too. We create 2d games and we use TypeScript for that and we have a nice new engine for that, but I would like to go further and learn to create 3d games.

I hope this course gives me a push to create nice applications and games (and find a better job? I will see ).

Nice to meet you all,
Pepe

Hi!

My nameā€™s Eva. Iā€™ve been interested in game development since I was very little, but Iā€™ve never been motivated enough to full pursue it on my own. This course is exactly what I need to get started!

I have quite a few languages under my belt already: C, Java, HTML, CSS, Visual Basic, and bits of JavaScript, PHP, and SQL. I have an AS in Computer Science, and I work for the second leading credit card payment processing company, where I aim to become a software developer.

What I hope to get out of this course is a solid basic foundation of the basic professional project development process, and a good foundation of C#. I also plan to go into virtual reality development, and Unity is one of the top game engines utilized in VR dev! This course will help me understand many functions that Unity has to offer, and will help me to know exactly what tools are at my fingertips.

I canā€™t wait to get started!

Greetings everyone, my name is Radu, Iā€™m from Romania and Iā€™ve been playing videogames for as long as I can remember. After more than two decades of gaming, it only seems natural to me to start working on game development as a hobby. Itā€™s a thing Iā€™ve never considered before probably because game development seemed so far away or out of reach, but these days with all the tools available it looks like itā€™s never been easier. Thank you guys for this course, see you inside!

Hi All

Iā€™m Wesley from South Africa,

Iā€™ve been playing around with Unity for some time and now Iā€™d like to get serious in completing a game and hopefully bring my game ideas to life in the near future.

Iā€™m running a Ubuntu 16.04 OS so there might be some things not completely covered but Iā€™m hoping to be a part of the relatively small but growing game developer community for Linux based systems.

Hello there, my name is ryan i live in bandung, Indonesia. iam an undergraduated student in Computer Science, and still doing my thesis. i am also an avid gamer in both console and pc

Now, beside doing my thesis i am also deepen my knowledge in machine learning and AI especially neural nets

Actually because of my hobbies of playing video games, i become highly interested in making it too but unfortunately my university place the focus on IT topic on this current era such as big data,IOT,machine learning, etc., so there are so few references or source of learning about video game development that i can get from my university, thatā€™s why i am enrolling in this course .

I hope we all can learn and understand together how amazing and fun about developing a game in this course.

before i ended my introduction, i am really sorry if there are any misspelled words or wrong grammar in my sentence above, because i am not really fluent in english
