How have you designed your animation?
I personally switch to the animation tab rather than changing my main window.
It also gives a handy view of what you are looking at though the camera which is helpful later.
Of course i like the set up they use, but its useful to be able to set up blender however makes you feel comfortable, Just to echo some of Mikey’s words here
