Doing Section 5 of the Complete Blender Creator course. when I applied the armatures to my TV bot. I have this weird spike formed on the arm. The spike formed on the mirrored side of the modifier and just can’t seem to work out what has happened or get rid of it. Shame as it is really ruining my walk animation.
Please are you able to help me figure this out?

If you select automatic weighting, then sometimes Blender gets confused.
Some vertices are connected to other bones, leading to strange behavior.
- Check your mesh; is it manifold, no inner faces, no duplicates in mesh (vertices, faces)
- Check all the weight painting bitmaps, and correct them if needed.

Examine the non mirrored real side for odd geometry, doubles, Inverted normals etc.
