Weird baking results

Have followed Grant so far. When I bake my normal map, it comes out very strange as you can see in the picture down below. Have checked that the positions and rotations of both objects are the same. and that their scale is set to 1. have also tried rebaking a couple of times, which gives some variation on the result, but the “ugly” green and blue line in the normal map are still there. please help.

did some googling and ended up by increasing the extrusion a little bit. The bake looks good now :slight_smile:

Well sorted out. Extrusion is actually far more useful than Ray distance. Ray distance can frequently just be left as zero.
