Weapon Placement

im having this issue where i replaced the skeletol mesh with a recent character and the animation hand placements dont line up proper,also the original gun that came with the assest is at my feet and when i added a new gun it dosent shoot but the one on my feet does! any idea on how to fix this or what steps i can take to fix this?

Probably one of 2 things.

  • adjust the socket position
  • adjust the weapon pivot point
    Both can be done inside UE so not so bad to do. The UE modelling tools aren’t awful and they do help with this sort of thing.
