If you increase your blender would hang and then disk load would be 100% and even if you have a 512 SSD laptop it would make you shut down and you will lose all your unsaved work.
Now you may ask why would anyone do this?
Well, you are right but some people use to test like me(especially beginners) so they just think it would make it perfect cylinder but ultimately realized what a big mistake they had done.
I cant add the snapshot of disk load 100%as i could not do anything but just shut down my PC. Warning Never try this.

It is best practise to stick to the current lesson challenges. Experimenting is fun but leads to Blender reacting strange. Besides that, you don’t see relations between your actions.
Like, what does this button do … some options work together with other features and or blender windows state.
Making an object (cylinder) smooth, is done with some mouse clicks.
Right click in object mode the cylinder, a pop up menu is shown, select smooth.
Basically you need 12 vertices (6 per side) and smoothing to have a relative nice cylinder.
But if you want to 3D print a smooth cylinder, then you need more vertices.
Then the subdivision modifier can be used. Al these Blender techniques will be explained.
Be patient and have fun.
