Modeled according to what I thought would be funny when animated.
----Made him have a big ol’ butt, weak ankles, strong shoulders, and some toes.
----Knowledge of anatomy helps achieve realism here, but I have none, so it didn’t quite work out. Looks like a grown-up baby.
----Minimizing mesh pinches and stretches via weight painting was frustrating - Grant hinted that the solution was more geometry (Vertices and Edges and Faces) would help?

Animated according to Grant’s instructions.
----Added Toe Articulation, Hip Rotation, and Shoulder Rotation.
----Really cool to see how subtle changes here had a big effect on the realism of a walk cycle.
----In the future, I will remember to bend them elbows.

Textured according to what I thought would be funny when animated.
----Ended up looking like skin disease or burns or a newborn.
----Happy to get the texture to follow the mesh, instead of sliding around over/under the mesh. Took some figuring out with UV Mapping the body and shading nodes/texture nodes, but I got there.

EDIT:

Tinier head, per @FedPete and some refinement in the lower body and overall proportions. Just adding vertices and moving them around in Edit Mode; no sculpting tools/space yet, but happy with the results so far.

Mostly because of the big head.

Well done project!

Thanks for taking a look!

Let’s see what it looks like with a tinier head.

I’ll post updates via edits here.

Second post, looking much better.
But because of the design (a tv head), making it a more grown-up human is difficult.
Glad you gave it a second try, it helps learning Blender!

… adding hip rotations
… some head movement

But just go on to the next section, there’s much more tot learn.

TONS more to learn. But the incremental changes from 1st to 2nd here are heartening. I’ll probably keep working on it in the background, just to continue practicing basic skills/goof around a bit.

Thanks for taking another look, @FedPete!
