VS Code must or can I use other IDE like Code::Blocks or CodeLite?

Do I have to use VS Code for TripleX or can I use other IDEs as well? Because VS Code is causing a lot of pain (making my computer super slow when its on). Even videos don’t work properly when its on…

Normally I use CodeLite for other coding but for this course was using VS Code…

You could probably use whatever you want if you have enough knowledge. You could use regular VS as well but probably worse on performance.

The main issue is the UE4 plugin will be missing so there should be a major difference that way. That will complicate things.

You could look further into stuff like this: https://answers.unrealengine.com/questions/500321/how-to-use-another-ide.html

The only real fix at least in my opinion is to improve the computer hardware. Its just what it is.

Of course you could do blueprint only and just skip needing to edit code.
