Visual Studio not a compiler

Hello, just wanted to clarify that Visual Studio is not a compiler… it is an Integrated Development Environment (IDE) that includes a C++ compiler in it’s intallation.

I can see why the author does not go into the the detail in the video, but just wanted to post this in case someone gets confused.

Related to this: he also doesn’t mention the linker, either. It actually combines the object files generated from the compiler and uses them to create an executable.
