So I reinstalled my windows recently, I installed on my new windows vs, vs code epic games and unreal engine and it gives me this error when I try to open vs code from unreal 
what can I do?
not sure if this will fix anything, but it may worth deleting the Binaries, Intermediate, Saved folders and have Unreal re-build those folders (by opening the project) and then rebuilding the visual studio solution file via right clicking on your project file
this at least won’t actually lose any data

I tried doing what you said and it worked. Idk if it’s because of that but now I can open vs code directly from unreal and I didn’t lose any data. Thank you!
