Vertex Groups - manual rig

I can’t say that was fun. I had to start fresh 5 times before I got the concept. (I mean I hope I got the concept.) A couple of times my bones literally disappeared from my model while I was assigning Vertex groups. I must have hit some inappropriate keystrokes to do that but know what they were so I can’t avoid them in the future. It is a good thing I save multiple copies of my project.

Also, I really would like to have seen how you would go about incorporating the hand bones and foot bones into this mesh. I think it would be just the bottom face of the hands and feet but they get assigned to the Forearm and Leg meshes when I assign the faces to those bones. ( I did leave the bottom faces not selected when I assigned the Forearm and Leg vertices but when I selected the Vertex Group they were selected automatically with the rest of the other vertices in that group.
