The Eaglemoss company went under just as they were releasing the Star Trek Lower Decks series of models, so I decided to recreate the California-Class Cerritos in Blender so that I could 3D Print & paint it to add to the collection.
I used various images for reference, but this image with various elevation views was the most practical source. However; I repeated an error in the image by writing the registry number in the wrong place - always verify your source material!
The rest of my models are only around 50-75mm (2-3") long so an FDM PLA one-piece was adequate for my painting skills in this instance. I’ll need to add a lot more detail to scale it up for a multi-part print.
