I have no clue if it’s going to be mentioned later on down the course but you can also use Empty objects to load an Image and actually have it placed in 3D space.

Michael does talk about using Empties later on in the course to organize your work. I have not tried it other than the Plain Axes so will have to experiment with the image empty. Thanks for sharing!
Ah cool, good to know. I find the “Empty” Image to be very useful. I don’t like the orthographic one that much.
