Using blender for asset creation

i am very well acquainted with blender, so before i continued on this course i was just wondering if me using blender instead of unity for asset creation will hinder me dramatically throughout the course.

As a fellow student, I’m importing my models from Maya. Just remember that you may need to add some unity 3D Objects to the Parent with the Mesh Renderer unticked for the collisions to work.
also try not to get bogged down with the modelling the final model at the start. just get the size and rough shape sorted.
