Hello I’m new here and I’m trying to focus in 2D games.
My question is can I create 2D games using UE?
most of the suggestion I should use unity
Unity has had a reputation for being the better engine for 2D games, with Unreal being favored for 3D, but Unreal has got a lot better in recent times.
Check out the PaperZD plugin, which now supersedes the old Paper 2D.

Can I use the top view too? like old pokemon, harvestmoon, ragnarok ?
I haven’t had a chance to us it yet.
That’s more of an art decision, with 2D you create the art in the perspective you want.
