Unity visual quality

Hey there , I’m watching the udemy unity 3d game dev course and I noticed that the instructors viusal quality in the scene is noticably higher than mine , the colors look better and so does the shadows , how can I get the visuals to be the same ? I will attatch 2 screenshots , one’s mine and one’s the instructors unity scene

Thank you

Hi saleem1998,

Welcome to our community!

Which screenshot shows your game? Which one shows Rick’s? Both look fine to me. Without knowing which one is yours and what you want to achieve, I’m afraid it is impossible to suggest any solution.

Hey Nina , the upper one shows rick’s screen , mine is the lower

Please go to Window > Rendering > Lighting Settings. At the bottom of the Inspector, click on “Generate Lighting”. You could also try to disable “auto-generate lighting”.

If the issue persists, your Environment Lighting (Window > Rendering > Lighting Settings) might be too bright. Also check your light source in the Hierarchy. Maybe it is too bright.

Tweak the values until you are happy with the result.

Yes this helped a lot thank you , one mor thing , in the course rick had a light pulp icon that could toggle light in the scene but I can’t find it , how can I add it to my unity ?

Which version of Unity do you use? And what light bulb icon do you mean? Could you please share a screenshot? Sometimes, Unity change little details in their GUI.
