Hi! I just downloaded Unity Hub. Do I need to install Unity version 2021.1? or can I use LTS 2022.3?

Welcome to our community! 
2021.1 is an outdated version of Unity. If you want to install Unity 2021, install Unity 2021.3.29.
However, you may also follow with Unity 2022.3, or even 2023 if you want. Just make sure not to install any alpha or beta version because they are full of bugs and meant for testing only. And stick with the version you installed, and do not import your game into different versions of Unity because that might eventually break it.
