Unity 6000 has changed velocity to linearVelocity. Despite what most AI helpers will tell you, Unity has indeed added linearVelocity to the RigidBody2D component. I had to yell at Grok for 10 minutes over it. Go ahead and use it.

Thanks for sharing this information. This is a great example why it is rarely a good idea to believe everything we read “on the internet”. AI is nice if you need some inspiration, general information (while being aware that it might be wrong), or approaches to a topic.
Depending on the version of Unity you use, it is usually recommended to take a look at the Unity API. The API was written by humans, so there might be mistakes as well but it is usually reliable.
