Unable to Paint Trees on Terrain

Hi all,

For some reason I am not able to follow this lecture and Paint Trees. I downloaded Trees from the Unity Store just fine. I added into the Terrain and it loads fine as well. However, when I click on the terrain there is just nothing. Nothing happens, and no trees at all. Am I doing something wrong with the settings? I tried downloading other trees and the same problem occurs.

Hi Nikolas,

Which version of Unity do you use?

Did you follow the instruction in the “Paint Trees” box? See your screenshot. If so, are there any error messages in your console?

Also zoom in in the scene view after you painted a few trees. Maybe they are just extremely small.

“Draw” is enabled in your Terrain Settings > Tree and Detail Objects, isn’t it?

That worked! I forgot to tick that Draw on the Terrain Settings – thank you!
