Udemy: Resetting Progress

I have seen a few people request the ability to be able to reset their progress on the various Udemy courses offered by GameDev.tv and up until recently there wasn’t a particularly good way to achieve it.

I have however just noticed that a small link has now appeared which enables this. I have no idea when this was actually added (update: see below), but it does exactly what was being asked for, all progress is removed, quizzes are reset and you return to a course effectively unstarted.

This could be quite a useful tool for any students who have had a little time out from a course and wish to return to the beginning and actually see where they are second time around.

The link to reset your progress is just above the progress bar on the main overview page for the specific course;

Hoping this is of use. :slight_smile:

Udemy reports that the feature was added around mid September. Additionally, it has added the ability to mark specific lectures complete / incomplete (a feature I believe existed before the last significant UI changes)

I thought everyone knew about this otherwise i would have posted. I found it completely by accident whjen i made an attempt to revisit blender.
I am glad they did add the feature as if you want to take a second run thoguhtrying to remember your progress was a bit of a pain.
I think you are right with the marking complete as i believe that was in the old UI.

Thanks for posting though as i dont think it was well published or known about as i said i found it by accident.

I literally stumbled across it last night and remembered @hypnometal has asked about it ages ago, so thought I’d share it more publicly so everyone was aware :slight_smile:

A feature that took me by surprise was the ability to categorise my courses into nameable collections. Extremely handy for a Udemy addict such as myself.
I’m enrolled in 101 courses with the RPG course backed too :flushed: I think I should stay away from buying more. At least until the Asset Pipeline course drops haha.

I’m still waiting for the functionality that allows me to drag/drop them into an order of my choosing, likes app icons on a smart phone.

I would find it useful to put them into an order of my choice, such as the order I wanted to complete them in… feel like I am asking for the moon on a stick!

I make lists. Procrastinating like a pro. Juggling on my screen sounds like fun though, and it would certainly make things easier to keep track of.

I was considering doing that… :wink:

If they are letting us create custom lists they must be storing the user id and list id/name… all it needs additionally is an display order id and then sort them on the page accordingly.

Moon / Stick…
