Trouble with background image

I use Blender 2.79 and when I try to add background image, it only appear in front view. When I press 3 to go to side view, the same image still show up…

All the background images I import only works in front view… Anyone here to help me out? I will appreciate.

  • This background image is a background in the render or just a reference image?
The is a difference in this …

General Q&A note

Help us all to help you.
Please give full screenshots with any questions. With the relevant panels open.
This can be done by Blender itself, via the ‘Window’ menu bar top left-hand side.
On that menu dropdown is ‘save screenshot’.

  • You can also install a newer version of Blender besides the old one. (You can have multiple versions running on your system)
  • I advise you to use the latest version (if expected features, panels, and or hotkeys are gone) Ask them here!

It’s a reference image. I drag and drop the ref image into blender or import it via the side panel (by pressing N), the same problem occurs. I can’t select or find it in the view port except I press 1 on my numpad.

Edited.

I’m not close to my computer for now. I will upload screenshots when I am close to it.

Give a screen slot, because for most of us it’s a long time ago to remember those settings in 2.97.

In the reference image panel you can select when, or when not, to see the reference image.
You probably forgot to switch options on. The same for the transparency of the reference image. And behind or in front of the object.
