Just a little question, why do you suggest to reopen the editor?
I just drag-n-drop my BasePawn in my scene and it seems to work perfectly well.
Because hot reloading (when you compile with the editor open) is a bit finicky a fair amount of the time especially modifying the constructor or parent class of a BP. It can often save a headache by just restarting the editor right off the bat.

As a matter of fact, you’re wright, it allready happend to me but I was (naively) thinking that with UE 4.27 , the problem was sold.
