Took Realm Rush and turned it ino a game jam submission - Hot Skulls

Close to the end of this section, I got an idea for a game and with 1 week in the GameDev.tv Community Jam left I turned it into a game with the support of a friend of mine.

We made a tower defense game, keeping the tower moving mechanic and making it into our core mechanic.
We added 4 different tower types with different effects, ranges, and cooldowns, etc…
Our enemies have a ‘temperature’ variable which slows them down if it gets low and speeds them up as they get hotter, ultimately making them explode when it reaches a threshold.

We ended up not really needing the BFS, we only had I level and the path never changed, so manually selecting each Waypoint as a patch block would have been alright as well. It did make creating the level a bit easier.

This was once again a great section, looking forward to the next!

Fantastic, really enjoyed playing…I liked the multiple tower types…the speed dynamic was unique!..great!
