Please don’t take this personally, but it seems as though the lecturer would be better suited to teaching coding only. It would be worth considering expanding this tutorial into even a basic understanding of Blender or any 3D design application, taught by an actual designer. The lazy methods taught here set a dangerous precedence for the rest of the course.

Feels like you’ve missed the point a bit. Yes, it is hacky. No, it isn’t ideal. But this is an overview of the Unreal tools so that (with a bit of practice) we can knock something up quickly for testing. I’m no artist, so doing programming, unreal and blender in one course would just kill me.
Its also not a blender course and its not much of a c++ course either really as its no substitute to a course dedicated to each eg would be interesting to see someone go from this to writing a c++ only application.
Asking for too much here lol. Its a game course and to have fun. You do this primarily to make UE games, not to become an expert right off the bat at all things involved. This course would be much longer if that were the case.
