I probably did a little much because I first tried to create the ring then extruded up. Subdivided the faces, then selected every other edge (had to do this twice for each edge of the crown because of the subdivision) then used the transform down to pull those edges down thus generating a triangle. Afterwards, I dissolved those extra edges and tried to clean up the geometry at the top 
I probably could have made more points but I think Im pleased with the result. I think it will look nicely with the remainder of the set #topologyislookinggood
