The Tab button doesn't enter or activate the game terminal

The Tab button doesn’t enter or activate the game terminal. However a very small one line cmd window appears, but doesn’t enter text into the in game terminal.

I’m using unreal engine 4.27

Anyone else experiencing this problem and know the solution?
