The spin tool problem

i tried to spin the bowling pin to 360 degree and it worked ! . but the problem is that there is a line showing in the pin where the spin starts . when i checked it in the course video i couldn’t find it in the pin he made . so !!!

It’s already answered, somewhere on this forum. Can not find it yet.

basically the black line is your bezier curve! In the render it is gone.
If you delete it, you pin body is gone also.
The pin is the outcome of the bezier curve spinned!

Both objects exist ! If you change the curve the pin object will change to.
nothing to worry abaout.

so is it normal ? not any mistake ? :grimacing:

No, when you render is gone. Blender renders only faces.
And a face has minimal 3 vertices.

sorry i didn’t get it . so there is no way i can remove that line make it clear ?

:grimacing: i actually i got it . i just off the visibility of that curve . so its clear now :grimacing: :grimacing: :grimacing: :v:

Ah, yes you are right! You can turn the visibility off. Sorry I didn’t see that

You may have turned off viewport visibility, but when you render it, it will still show. Above the ‘eye’ icon column is a funnel icon, that lets you add other things, one of which is make invisible to rendering. Old 2.79 these were all showing as default, no idea what possessed them to hide them away in 2.8. Basic and needed.

but it worked for me . i just completed the bowling section and there is not problem like that . no lines in the pins after the rendering …

Blender doesn’t render bezier curves because they are vertices. Only faces are rendered.
A line (bezier) is mathematical an infinite group of infinite small points (vertices). And can (will) not be drawn.
