Well done on your first game. I have played through and got both endings (unless there are more that I missed) and I think you have done a good job with this. I look forward to seeing more of your work as you progress through the course.
Ran away from the old woman ghost into a secret passage - seems to be working correctly, great job.
(Maybe a spookier background to set the mood?)
