Amazing, nice detailing. keep it up

@Kevin-Brandon
Another one to look at for our community spotlight.
Thank you @SohamMane2004
Thank you so much @Marc_Carlyon
Nice - but dont think this should be in the Challenge Club area @Rick_Davidson?
Well spotted, Thanks.
Moved to the correct spot on the forums
I find it difficult to say something about this project. We see only the outcome of this Eagle Warrior.
Technically you did a good job! But I think you focussed too much on certain aspects, like the Eagle helmet. Which is the only reference to the eagle theme. His mantel should be Eagle-like also.
A golden helmet and a warrior is a difficult relationship. I would have spent my money on more weapons, a shield than on a weak (golden) helmet.
Want I try to say is, I miss the âEagleâ and âWarriorâ visual clues. Like heâs wearing a bearskin? Whatâs eagle about that. An eagle has wings, has claws I would expect to see more relationship between them.
Giving the illustrations more storytelling.
Forgive me Iâm being harsh (English is not my native language). I see the hard work. The many difficulties youâve overcome. But as I said earlier, itâs difficult to reflect if we see only the end result. You did an amazing job!
I have got a copy of the 3D World magazine, Blender special issue. With an article âGuardian of the Holly forestâ, Carlos Soares. Where you see a relationship between the subjects
As always, have fun!
Excellent work. Great head.
All items are well made.
So what holds it back? Could be better?
Some of my observations. I am also coming from a realistic, artistic, not a game character low poly, compromises, pov. Which may make it all entirely irrelevant.
The textures on the helmet are just âwrongâ. The honeycomb looks like it is some modern pattern rolled into sheet metal, rather than a hand chased patterning. The helmet design is impractical, in the small attachment of the chin guard, any blow would buckle and embed it into his face. The big earmuffs hinge point âfeelâ wrong, for an era of hand hammered metal, not machine spinning a shape on a lathe.
The jerkin, chest garment, has laces at the front for no reason, there is no opening, nothing to be tying together. Further as I look closely! the lace holes are just toruses floating above the garment, which has no actual hoe in it. From the back render it also looks shiny? Is it leather? Odd texture for it if so. If it is a cloth, would it have that texture?
The maille shirt. Woven? Seems just wrong, ther may well be modern woven wire materials, not sure it existed in an era in keeping with the weaponry etc. Linked rings would be more in keeping. Further the texture seems not to âbendâ with the shape of the body it is very straight and flat. just cut off at the visible neck line.
The pike, nice looking point, but it just would not stay on long in use. there is no effective sleeving over enough or any of the wooden pole. Just âgluedâ on the top?
The feathers down the back of the helmet is a good idea in keeping with the Eagle theme, but are lost by being the same brown as the âfurâ on the shoulders. Perhaps make then more colourful eagle feathers, even white if research shows no brighter reds or something. Though it would be fine in any colour that it is reasonable for there to be a natural dye that could have been used on white feathers.
The bracelet? How did he get it on? Ok there is an way out! He had it in when younger and his hand went thought the narrow hole!

All that said it is a great character and I only mention these things as you are so good as to have got this far.
Yeah! correct point. Firstly I appreciate that you gave me some heartful feedback. Thanks for that @FedPete.
Being using a low-end PC, I would say I spent most of my time rendering (for the past 3 months). I agree that just a spear wonât suffice the look of a warrior but the helmet absolutely signify the theme of Eagle. And about the âBearSkinâ ( you mean the Fur right), I wanted to create an imagery of a âKingâ and so I used the fur to add those leader look.
Actually, in the beginning, I was trying to use an axe instead of the spear but that seem not fit the composition and so I finally came up with the idea of a spear. Here are some test renders:
And You are not harsh rather so helpful. From now I will make sure there will be some relationship between each object in the renders that I will make.
By the way awesome work #GuardianoftheHolyForest
Thank you also for the reply.
âWhy not a staff, with 4 or 5 razor-sharp âEagleâ Claws (knives)â ?
And yes, I meant âFurâ.
Iâm not sure how fast your machine is. But I recognize the slow render process.
But I think also, we are all working at the blender capabilities of the hardware youâre working on.
Slow or fast machines, you just add more to the render until you say. Now it becomes unworkable.
I try to use Eevee, but render times of 5 minutes are common. Staring at a black screen. While in cycles, you see some progress and can immediately decide to abort the render. Because you forgot to switch things on or off.
Have fun and itâs an amazing project. Show us your progress!
Thank you @NP5
Actually, I wanted a golden metallic look for the helmet but I just thought the plane helmet wonât work and I added a polygonal pattern I saw online and I think it suits him. I if you closely observe he is wearing an inner garment (black bulletproof). thatâs the reason I added the buttons and the laces for the outer garment. it like I wanted that old tribal look.
Yeah, I donât want to go quite detailed with it so I kept the buttons to be a simple torus. what looks shiny in the back render? I think itâs the lighting. It took me several days to figure out perfect lighting for the scene since no object is perfectly reacting to the light here.
Itâs the inner garment, not the neckline I wanted to show a fence pattern to the inner garment(some bulletproof). Actually, I was faking the Bracelet. Here you go:

I need to turn my hand a large degree and I couldnât without rigging and so I choose to fake it with the bracelet.
Thank you for such a valuable feedback @NP5
I would do the same!
Great solution.
